Francesca Bolognini (she/her) is a full-time type designer, she studied graphic design at Politecnico of Milan and earned her master's in Type & Media from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She values the slow pace of craftsmanship and appreciates the beauty of visual balance. Originally from Italy, she is a migratory spirit who has lived across Europe and North America and recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA. Francesca is a key member of the creative type designer team at Pangram Pangram Foundry, where she helps develop custom fonts and unique font libraries. Her role extends beyond design, as she also mentors and guides emerging designers. In addition to her work at Pangram Pangram Foundry, Francesca collaborates with friend and fellow designer Naïma Ben Ayed at La Bureau. Together, they craft typefaces that blend Arabic and Latin scripts. Her work has gained international recognition, including awards from TDC Tokyo, the European Design Award, and Granshan.
